Students searching for internships and future careers met with recruiters from a variety of industries at Quinnipiac University’s spring career fair. The event, held Tuesday, March 3, brought together companies and organizations hoping to connect with students about internships and full-time job opportunities.

The event brought together companies and organizations hoping to recruit Quinnipiac students for internships and full-time positions. Students from a wide range of majors attended the fair to learn more about potential career paths and to make connections with employers.

Tables were set up throughout the event space as representatives from different organizations spoke with students and shared information about their companies. Students moved through the aisles asking questions, sharing résumés and introducing themselves to recruiters.

The event offered students an opportunity to network with professionals and gain insight into different industries while building connections that could help them after graduation.

“I came here to see what opportunities there are and to get a better idea of what companies are looking for,” said Quinnipiac sophomore John Sicoli, a business major. “It’s definitely helpful to talk to employers face-to-face instead of just applying online or doing Zoom interviews. This type of event really lets you talk to people, have conversations and see what speaks to you.”

The fair also allowed employers to meet potential candidates and connect with students interested in their fields.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to meet students who are interested in working in education,” said Anthony Holehouse, a recruiter from the Providence Public School Department. “We’re always looking for people who are passionate about helping students and making a difference in their communities, and what better way to do that than to come to a place full of students and simply talk to them.”

Throughout the afternoon, students continued to file into the event space searching for opportunities. Many seniors attended the fair as they prepare to transition from college into the workforce, using the event to build professional connections before graduation.

“I’m graduating soon, so I just wanted to see what kind of opportunities I could find that might fit what I’m looking for after college,” said Quinnipiac senior Ben Wallin, a film major. ””Even if nothing sticks, I just really wanted to network myself and just learn about what sort of chances I could find.”

Events like the career fair give students the opportunity to explore professional connections while remaining on campus, making the process of networking and job searching more accessible.

The Quinnipiac career fair allows students to share résumés, meet recruiters and learn about potential career paths, providing a valuable step toward building their professional futures.
