This past Saturday, they released their annual security and fire safety report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">One statistic that stuck out to students were the three counts of rape on the Mount Carmel Campus. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a little shocking,\u201d senior, Jacob Resnick said. \u201cYou hear about that happening at other places, you\u2019re not really aware that it\u2019s going on where you\u2019re living, going to school.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Recorded in 2016, there were a total of two rapes on the Mount Carmel Campus. In 2017, there were a count of two rapes as well. Making this past year the highest count of rape in the past 2 years. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cIt could happen to anyone,\u201d senior, Christina Vittas said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Vitta\u2019s works as a Residential Assistant on the York Hill Campus.
