Crime Report Week of April 13

Hqnn has resumed crime log reporting with this past week’s report.

April 13 News: Burglary in the 3rd Degree 

Hamden police arrested Michael Spanger, 43, on April 12 for charges of third-degree burglary and second degree larceny. 

Spanger robbed the Airline Accessory Services on 455 Putnam Avenue on June 20, 2020, after reportedly, “forcibly entered the business and stole items valued at approximately $15,000.00.”

Spangler will appear in court on July 7 at the Meriden Superior Court, according to Hamden police.

April 16 News: Cruelty to Animals Arrest

Chieppo, 34, was arrested on April 15 and charged with “four counts of Cruelty to Animals,” but then released on a $2,000 bond.

Back in July 2020, there was a report of “multiple sick dogs” at a Rockview Road residence, and the Hamden Animal Control Division came to the scene.

There were three Pit Bulls found with “several medical conditions, including, skin inflammation, severe dermatitis, lung worm and flea infestation.”

Chieppo will appear in court on May 13 at Meriden Superior Court, according to Hamden PD.
