Here’s where to vote in each district for the Hamden Democratic primary

There are nine locations throughout Hamden that residents can go to vote for Lauren Garrett or Walter Morton in the mayoral primary on Tuesday Sept. 12 including libraries and schools.

The Hamden mayoral primary is on Tuesday, Sept. 12, and there are several designated voting locations in each of the nine districts, including libraries, schools and community centers.

The two candidates running in the primary are incumbent Lauren Garrett and Walter Morton and the nine polling locations are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Residents must bring identification and proof of where they live to vote in person. Alternatively, they can register to vote online using the online voter registration system by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 7, according to the Town of Hamden.

To see which polling location is the closest, residents can view this map provided by the Town of Hamden or search using the Office of the Secretary of the State’s registration lookup.

Residents already aware of which district they live in can view the following list of locations provided by the Town of Hamden:

District 1: Miller Library (2901 Dixwell Ave.)

District 2: Booker T. Washington Academy (306 Circular Ave.)

District 3: Keefe Community Center (11 Pine St.)

District 4: Spring Glen School (1908 Whitney Ave.)

District 5: Board of Education Building (60 Putnam Ave.)

District 6: Ridge Hill School (120 Carew Road)

District 7: Dunbar Hill School (315 Lane St.)

District 8: Bear Path School (10 Kirk Road)

District 9: West Woods School (350 West Todd St.)
